Direct a three-part documentary series on Nigerian small businesses that outlived their founders. You shoot it, you cut it, you keep the director credit.

What you would own

Own the series from treatment to delivered masters, with a producer supporting logistics.
Shoot in Lagos and Aba across roughly six weeks, travel and fixers paid separately.
Cut in your own edit, with two rounds of notes per film.
Deliver captions, transcripts, and camera masters at final delivery.

What we need to see

A directed and delivered documentary we can watch, long or short form.
Your own camera and sound package, or a hire budget line we agree up front.
Comfortable working to milestones and written acceptance rather than day rates.

Deliverables

You deliver three 22-minute films, masters and captions.

Captions and transcripts in English
Camera masters and project files handed over
Twelve stills for marketing use

Milestone payments

1. Treatment and shot list approved15% · $2,100
2. Principal photography complete35% · $4,900
3. First cut delivered and accepted25% · $3,500
4. Final delivery, masters and captions25% · $3,500

Each milestone is invoiced on written acceptance, within 10 working days per milestone, and paid within seven days of that. If the acceptance window passes with no written response, the milestone counts as accepted and becomes payable.

Rights, credit and cancellation

Rights: Temp & Major owns the finished films and the footage
Credit: Director credit on every cut and in all marketing
Portfolio: Full portfolio and festival use, cleared on release
Kill fee: 30% of the remaining fee if cancelled after treatment approval
Window: 14 weeks from treatment approval

Rights transfer on payment of the final milestone, not on delivery. Until then the work is yours. Your credit and your right to show the work survive the engagement.
