Write a 40,000-word book on how the studio builds and sells software, under your own name, paid in four stages with a royalty on top.

What you would own

Interview the studio team and turn it into a structured argument.
Deliver in four stages: outline, first 10,000 words, full draft, final manuscript.
Work with a copy editor at the end rather than instead of drafting well.

What we need to see

Published long-form work, book or serious feature length.
A voice that survives editing.
The discipline to write 2,000 usable words a week for five months.

How the money works

Engagement: Contractor
Paid: Paid per accepted milestone, within 7 days of acceptance
Market: Nigeria — Africa/Lagos
Structure: Fee + royalty
Royalty: 8% royalty on net receipts, paid quarterly

Milestone payments

Each milestone is invoiced on written acceptance, within 15 working days per milestone, and paid within seven days of that. If the acceptance window passes with no written response, the milestone counts as accepted and becomes payable.

Rights, credit and cancellation

Rights: Publisher holds print and digital rights for five years
Credit: Named author credit on the cover and the copyright page
Portfolio: Extracts up to 2,000 words for your own use
Kill fee: Fee for the current milestone plus 25% of the next
Window: 20 weeks to final manuscript

Rights transfer on payment of the final milestone, not on delivery. Until then the work is yours. Your credit and your right to show the work survive the engagement.
